OK,  I have a challenge for myself – I don’t know how successful I will be at it, but I am for sure going to give it a shot.  

The challenge:  I am going to cook each and every cookbook recipe printed by Giada de Laurentiis. WHY?  Because I love challenge especially in cooking! Also, because I have tried some recipes before and was pleased with the outcome.

The catch: Since some of the ingredients contain Haram products, I’m going to substitute those products with Halal & Middle Easters flavors.

I really enjoy watching the Food Network and enjoy making recipes of Giada de Laurentiis, Ina Garten, Ellie Krieger & Tyler Florence.  Their method of cooking appeal to me and I look forward to recreating the dishes they have prepared.   If I’m successful at complete these recipes I might move on others.

Plus I’m going to blog and share the recipes with you all!  Oh this going to be fun fun fun! ”or NOT”  I’m going to start with her first book and continue down the line with her 3 others cookbooks.  Oh I’m crazy I know I am – I should just stick to my Turkish cooking, but I need to challenge myself.

I promise I am going to continue cooking Turkish & Middle Eastern recipes as well - but I thought this might spice things up a little bit. What do you think?

 If someone challenged me be on a cooking show right now – it would be to be contestant on the Turkish cooking show “Yemekteyiz.”  I would love to do this for my aunt Melek.  It would be hilarious!!!!
