I am Aysegul Saygili, a private chef & the blogger/writer of New York’s Delight. I was born 1981in Yalova, Turkey and raised in & currently living in New York City since 1989. I am the oldest daughter of Kasap Ali & Dilek, as well as the sister of Aydin & the wife of Ahmet.  Aside from cooking, I hold a BBA from Pace University & MS in Accounting from Long Island University and am an Accountant.

Keeping it short:

I’ve always had a passion and unimaginable interest in food beginning at a very young age.  Cooking, baking and crafting have always come naturally. To this day, my mom now my husband tries to get me out of the kitchen.

I, live & work in an environment where I am exposed to a variety of international & gourmet foods. Having our own family business A&D Turkish Halal Meat & Grocery Market that specializes in Middle Eastern & Mediterranean Foods, made and makes it accessible to find, taste and cook with a wide variety of international foods and flavors. Another real and first hand exposure to food, especially gourmet food came when I worked with Amish Markets & Garden of Eden, both located locally in the New York City tri-state areas.

I am licensed by New York City Health.
