RAMADAN 2013 DAYS

nysd-ram-2013.1

This post never updated to the way I had originally updated, therefore here is a small summary.  This year for Ramadan I’ve decided to keep the meals light and simple.  The picture above is a sahur table with some feta cheese turnovers, a red swiss chard oven baked frittata and the classical Turkish breakfast must haves.  Cucumbers, tomatoes, feta cheese, my favorite avocados and summer blueberries.

Picture below is a quick after work iftar: a light green salad with almond oil and cucumbers, dates to break the fast, vermicelli, tomato and chopped meat soup (my favorite!).  Along side a yellow raisen compote and dessert is Arabic baklava!
