MY FIRST HOME GARDEN

3 years and I’m still blogging, I know at times I might have disappeared for long periods, but I have always come back.  I have so many recipes, pics and stories to share, I just don’t have enough time during the day.  I really need to become a full time blogger, then maybe me and this little tough chick can plant and grow vegetables all they long.  Thats why I love summer, we have these glorious long days.

Well, back to my little garden. On my mother’s day, my mom first gift to me as a new mother were a bunch of starter peppers and tomatoes plants  grow. And, I quote ”it will bring your home prosperity and great summer vegetables.”  She planted them, watered them and told me to take care of them, just as I take of my little one.  A week past and my aunt also bought me more plants, this time, we planted some eggplants, cucumbers, parsley, celery, collard greens and then some.

It is very nice to have your own vegetable garden. I especially love the smell of fresh tomatoes. It is my plan for next summer too!

This year’s garden is very simple: tomatoes, cucumbers and peas with raspberry bushes along the fence. Nothing to crazy for summer 2010 while the house shopping goes on.
