BABY PRAYER ~ BEBEK MEVLIDI

Gifts BABY PRAYER ~ BEBEK MEVLIDI

Thank you cards ordered from: Tiny Prints & Thank you gifts ordered from: Gifts on 5th Avenue

My little angel is growing up so quickly, as her 40th day approaches on this earth, it is customary in our religion and traditions to have a baby prayer held in her honor.  This baby prayer or mevlid in Turkish, is held to celebrate her birth and to bless her with all the blessing this world has to offer her with.

As we were preparing for this prayer, I intrigued by the number of other cultures and religions that also have a 40th day blessing for newborns. After the babies 40th day of blessings & prayers the baby is allowed to experience and see the world.

I would like to individually thank all our guests and especially Ayse Hoca for making this day unforgettable.
