Chicken Sandwich from Karam
I love my road trip with my brother! We have the most fun, we talk, laugh and eat of course. This weekend we were preparing to drive to one of wholesalers and did not have a chance to eat lunch at the store. So we decided to do a quick stop by Karam Restaurant. Karam Restaurant happens to be one of our favorite Middle Eastern eateries in Bay Ridge Brooklyn. They have best Middle Eastern food, believe me when I say this because, I’m usually a very picky restaurant eater. Many of you might be very familiar with Middle Eastern flavors and let be the one to emphasize this restaurant, they have the best shawarma + many other wonderful Middle Eastern flavors in Bay Ridge Brooklyn.
Chicken Shawarma with lettuce, tomato, parsley, pickled turnips & tahini sauce. I like mine plain and simple, no onions please and lots of tahini sauce!!!
In Turkish this is called “doner.” Doner is prepared the same way but the taste might slight vary due to the combination of spices, the concept is the same. The meat is marinated and cooked on a vertical turning wheel and then thinly sliced & placed in between either thin Lebanese style Arabic bread or the Aladdin style thick bread.

The space is actually very small inside but the food is greattttt….
Small spinach pies! These are the best ask to have warmed up! They also sell large sizes! The filling is made from spinach and have this sweet tart flavor to them. Yummy!

All other pictures – taken by me in a moving car! They came out suprisingly well!
