Cream of Mushroom Soup & Rachel Ray

cream of mushroom Cream of Mushroom Soup & Rachel Ray

This Sunday really turned out to be interesting, I sort of locked my self out of the house.  Nice right!  I had the whole day planned out.  What I was going to do, I had planned on cooking dinner and baking a cake for my husband and updating the site, along with many other things.  I guess sometimes its better to go with the unexpected, because things happen!  Once I was able to get back into the house, I head straight to the kitchen and made a simple ready to go soup.  Thanks to Piyale!

  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of unsalted butter (olive oil or other oils are okay)

Preparation

  1. In a medium size soup pot, add in water, 1/2 cup of milk, 1 full packet of soup + the other 1/2 packet and the butter

Rachel Ray Show

When the website was being redesigned, I was busy working, ordering and exporing New York City, at least trying to!  One great thing we (my cousin Duriye & I) experience was being audience members at the RR show.  Back in April or so, I had requested audience tickets but at that time tickets were unavailable.  Then this past October I saw an e-mail in my inbox from the Rachel Ray show.  So I picked the day and time I would like to be on and how many people I would like to bring.  So on November 3rd, 2008 my cousin and I set out to the Rachel Ray show.  I took a half a day from work she as well and we went down to the set of Rachel Ray!

As soon as we got there, the lined had already formed, so we went to the back of the line.  We had chosen to do the afternoon taping, since RR tapes two times a day.  A producer walked around asking for names and once I gave my name they asked us to go on in and we walked inside passing all the people waiting on line.  We felt so VIP!! Cause only VIP people get to go in first,  this got us really excited!!! Well we waited another 1 hour inside before we actually went up to the studio area.  Once we got up to the studio area they directed us to the waiting room, here they offered us some tea, coffee, bagels, muffins all courtesy of Sara Lee.  Here we waited another 45 minutes or so, then we went into the set.  Since our tickets were highlighted in blue we were seated first and winded up being seated upfront second row.  Now we really felt VIP!

Long story short, we did A LOT OF CLAPPING, A LOT!!  We were entertained for about an hour by a VJ and some magic show and then Rachel Ray walked out! Ohhh she looks AMAZING in person.  We were amazed at how much adding a camera changes a person.  For this show, her special guest Anthony Edwards, Dr. Green from the show ER on NBC.  He was the only guest, she did a lot of cooking though 3 pasta meals.  For us it was nice to see how everything is prepped up behind the camera.  We were given the snack of the day and a copy of the December issue of Everyday with Rachel Ray.  Oh, I forgot to mention, she also promoted her new book, BOB but did not present as gift to the audience.

My cousin and I really enjoyed ourselves and laughed a lot, especially at certain things.  I personally though RR looked a bit tired, otherwise she was a nice host.  Over all it was a nice experience!  Would I do it again definitely, but maybe next time I can cook with her! Hey you never know! Right!

This taping aired over a week ago, we both were not able to watch it since we both were at work and RR show airs at 10am.  On top of that neither of us remembered to set the DVR!
