First Family Dinner

Finally my kitchen has become useful & for my first dinner guests, I invited my parents and my aunt & uncle.  Preparing for dinner was quite a struggle!  I still do not know my way around my kitchen, it is not huge kitchen but  I’m so use to my mothers.  Plus, I don’t have a handle on how my wonderful kitchen appliances work.  I laughed at myself as I cooked because I winded up cutting some dishes of the menu because I did not have enough time.  Preparation is the key, next time I’ll take that into consideration.

Menu was simple and it seemed like my father missed my cooking.  That made me miss home even more so!

Menu:

Green lentil soup

Oven roasted chicken

Oven roasted Italian green pepper cold appetizer

Home made cheese & parsley pies~ borek

Dessert:

My mother brought a PAN full of Kataif served with other delights & Turkish Tea
