Turkish Products @ Fancy Food 2007 + more…
Turkish Products @ Fancy Food Show, Javits Center 2007

Where should I begin from? I honestly I do not know!! 5000 different exhibitors and 5000+ different samples!! I think that kind of should sum it all up. A little bit of sweet, a little bit salty and a little bit of spicy ~ ahhh a little bit of this and a little bit of that & lots of water (H2O) & lots of walking!!
At first you are overwhelmed with the amount of people, food and then some, but once you dive in there is no turning back.
As you might already know their are two floors to the Javitz center…both floors were dedicated to FooD. We started on the first floors with from the Turkish Side, not many exhibitors, would have liked a bit more variety, but overall not bad. My mom is even more popular then I knew, everyone knows here and she knows everyone. We tasted and obtained a wide variety of food and information, from exhibitors from all over the world; Peru, Argentina, India, French, Lebanon, Egypt to Chile to Italian, Greek, Mexican & the list goes on and on. We also tasted a wide variety of local food producers, from New York to Texas.

Because the exhibit is sooo huge, we visited booths that we knew wanted to visit. Once we were finished with those, we visited booths that had new products and great presentations.

I obtained a lot reading material, over the next several weeks, I will post food info on other countries…

Olive Oil & Olive Oil Products, E.V.O.O as Rachel Ray says, is the number #1 food displayed, tasted, sampled and presented besides ChOcolate (all sorts of chocolate) & Wine!!!!
Our biggest and only disappointment was when the samples we had obtained through out our 4 hours tour were taken from us by security because samples are not allowed to leave the exhibit floor!!! UNFAIR!!
Foods from Fancy Food Show Exhibit

first floor of the Javitz Center ~ each box represents an exhibitor

second floor ~ again each box (square) respresents an exhibitor

Right ~ Official Show Directory Left ~ Product Information on Greece
(obtained a lot of recipes ~ hope to share them one at a time with you all)

Right & Left ~ Mixed Culture Foods & Product Information I had obtained
I obtained unimaginable amount of reading material (sorted and cleaned through them), along with a bunch of recipes, I hope to share these wonderful recipes with you all, due in time.
If you are ever in New York, San Diego or Chicago and have an oppurtunity, do visit one of these outstanding shows, you will not be disappointed.
Enjoy!
